Had trouble for awhile signing on. Seems the problem has been cleared up.
In celebration allow me to include this view of a cathedral interior that I’m planning to sneak into my library show before it is taken down.

Jay,
Perhaps it just took time for your browser cache to clear; next time you have trouble, you could try clearing it manually. Meanwhile, you seem to be clearing out your cache of paintings, also. I would guess this was from your Rouen period, if I didn’t seem to recall your working at Notre Dame.
Sneaking it in sounds subversive à la Banksy, but perhaps it doesn’t count when it’s your own show.
Nice how your painting echoes the colors of the Recent Tags in the sidebar!
Steve:
I really have no idea for sure. But for one thing, I stopped assuming. When I’d type in my “name” a long string of dots would appear that was declared an error. I assumed that I had to start again, but for the heck of it I typed over using the password that you had provided. That took me to admin, which is a nice place to be. Word Press doesn’t seem to be entirely happy about it, but it’s working.
I must check Rouen. Somewhere I lost track of what church this represented, and had Amien on my mind. Have to check out Banksy as well.
Photographs showing the Banksy exploit I was thinking of are here.
Steve:
That Banksy – he be a bad boy. Ah the wailing as security asses get chewed out across the town.http://artandperception.com/2010/04
Some vandalism caused the CMA to try dressing University Circle cops up as casual visitors and spotting them about the galleries. And there they were, dressed to the nines in nylon windbreakers and beat cop boots, pretending to look at the art by stepping methodically in front of each piece. The officers were doing their best, but it seems that good gallery going requires it’s own suite of behaviors.
Well, I was all set to make a Monet comment but Steve beat me to it.
IT REMINDS ME OF MONET. Phew. Had to get that out of my system.
It’s a charming painting and will provide a nice juxtaposition to many of the works you have already installed.
Jay,
A fascinating set of lines, vertical and horizontal AND diagonal.
Beautiful colors!
Tree and Birgit:
Monet would have had the good sense to remember his source. This painting has been kicking around for so long that I forgot which cathedral it represents. It took awhile to figure out what I wanted to do with it. I knew I was looking for how places like the National Cathedral in Washington can feel with the light pouring in – but the dissolved effect was slow to materialize.
